Focus on compassion: inspiring events for coaches in 2021

Updated: Apr 15, 2021

Covid-19 has had an extraordinary impact, leading many businesses and their leaders to rethink their entire company offering. For others, it's proved difficult to 'keep on keeping on'.

The coronavirus has scared us and left us feeling uncertain. And, when all about us is uncertain, it is easy to get into a catastrophising space where everything just feels a bit doom and gloom.

But all change that we experience in life is best embraced when we are able to adapt and learn – even when we are scared.

Mental toughness is having the confidence to trust in your own abilities and the courage to drive yourself forward and grow, despite perceived risk.

Moving forward

Indigo Talent Development is currently working in partnership with Ubuntu Psychology to bring a fresh and current focus to leadership and coaching.

We’ve found that by combining organisational behaviour, clinical psychology and coaching, we have the ingredients that will lead us to be the best version of ourselves under intense pressure.

All our work around emotional intelligence and compassionate mind training is central to how we can present our best selves as coaches, while also ensuring that our clients are supported in order to develop and be their best self.

Compassionate, people-centred leaders are ahead of the game and at the forefront of developing the new generation of competitive advantage.

Join us in 2021

Indigo’s Hilary McLellan will be teaming up with Ubuntu’s Dr Ashleigh McLellan at events throughout 2021 and we’d love you to join us.

EMCC Global Conference

We will be at the EMCC Global Conference in May 2021 presenting a workshop ‘Calm is Capable: Training the mind for compassionate focus when coaching for behavioural change’. This will incorporate case studies where we have co-coached clients using compassion focussed coaching tools/techniques.

We will also share research findings from Aston University on the impact of the virtual mind training intervention in the workplace. (More about Your Virtual Mind Trainer here)

The Conference is online between 12-14 May 2021.

Hilary and Ashleigh are also collaborating on a unique two-day online course for coaches to explore and develop their own compassion and in their coaching practice.

The workshops are perfect for coaches who coach for behavioural change and want to learn and practice our ‘Compassion Focused Coaching’ approach. In a world where behavioural change is no longer a choice but a daily demand, we are all likely to experience increased anxiety and stress as uncertainty plays a greater part in all our lives and the lives of our clients.

Book your place in June and explore and deepen your understanding of the basic principles of compassion.

We are proud to find ways to support you during these uncertain times.
